The 21 year old actress confesses that shooting Gossip girl is getting in the way of film offers.

“We shoot nine months out of the year, so there are so many films I can’t do.
On my latest movie I would go and take a day off from Gossip Girl in New York and go to Connecticut and shoot that and then come back the next day. And they don’t really like to share you.”

Lets hope they’re willing to share for a little bit longer!

NEW YORK — No one is immune from the recession. Not even Gossip Girl’s Serena van Der Woodsen.

When the CW series returns March 16, expect some dollar drama ripped straight from the headlines, promises Blake Lively. “You get to see a little bit of the economy reflected on our show. There’s a bit of a Bernie Madoff-type thing happening,” says Lively, who plays Serena. “There’s a lot coming up. There’s a new love interest for Serena — it’s bad and good. I don’t think her relationships ever turn out good on the show.”

Lively was at THOR Wednesday night, at the launch of the DKNY Men fragrance. Herself a lover of fashion and decked out in a mix of DKNY and Tory Burch, Lively is turning into something of a DIY girl. “I just got a Singer sewing machine and I’m so excited. I’m having a desk built at my house. It’s something I really love,” she said.

She compares fashion to art. “It’s a huge part of my life. Being on a show that’s so fashion-driven and doing fittings once or twice a week, doing fashion shoots for magazines, getting to spend time with Anna Wintour at Vogue — it’s a big passion for me. My mom and my sisters were models. I love to find things.”

And unlike stick-thin fashionistas — Kates Bosworth and Moss come to mind — Lively has a womanly figure and dresses for her body type. “There are so many trends I like but don’t necessarily look good on my body. I have curves, so I need something to come in at the waist. If it’s big and sacky, it won’t look right on me.”

Stopping by the last day of New York’s Fashion Week, Blake Lively was spotted front row checking out the fall trends by Ralph Lauren.

Gossip Girl’s leading lady looked super trendy in a Grey turtle neck dress underneath a camel colored leather jacket.

Being on set for 17 hours a day doesn’t leave much free time for Fashion Week (or anything else for that matter), but Ms Lively chose to attend today’s show in between takes.

Of Ralph Lauren’s clothes, Blake says, “You could wear it ten years from now and it still looks classic. He dresses for every age.”

Showing her love of fashion, Lively’s Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester was also spotted at Fashion Week, checking out the Proenza Schouler show this past Wednesday.

Anyone who knows anything about DKNY knows that they’re big on belts. And like any good and faithful FRG (for the couture impaired, Front Row Girl), she’s in a wide wrap belt , along with DKNY tights and Donna Karan booties.

Going about yet another day of filming, Blake Lively and Ed Westwick were on the New York City set of “Gossip Girl”.
The CW cuties both looked bundled up as they ran scenes outside in the Big Apple with Blake sporting a tan wool coat while Ed donned a Grey ¾-length coat and a bowtie.

And it’s official – we’ll be getting yet another season of “Gossip Girl” coming in the Fall, according to a press release from the CW network.

In addition, the network also announced that they’ll be renewing “90210,” “America’s Next Top Model,” “One Tree Hill,” “Smallville,” and “Supernatural.”
